# RV Electrical Repair

We diagnose and repair RV electrical systems on-site in Henderson, Las Vegas and Boulder City, including converters, inverters, shore power, 30/50 amp service, transfer switches and house batteries. Most electrical problems are found with a meter and a methodical check, not guesswork.

## Sound familiar?

- Lights dim or flicker
- Batteries drain overnight or will not hold a charge
- Outlets work on shore power but not on battery
- Breaker keeps tripping at the pedestal
- Burning or hot-plastic smell near the converter
- Inverter alarms or shuts off
- Slide-outs or jacks weak or slow
- Transfer switch clicks but the generator will not take over

## What we do

- **Systematic testing:** We test the pedestal, the shore power cord, the main breakers, converter output and battery condition in a set order.
- **Converter and charger replacement:** Failed converters are common in older rigs. We replace them and match the charging profile to your batteries.
- **Inverter and transfer switch:** Diagnosis, repair or install for inverters and automatic transfer switches.
- **30/50 amp service:** Cord ends, adapters and inlet repairs, plus checking your rig against the pedestal you are plugged into.
- **Battery service:** Load testing and replacement, including lithium upgrades (see our solar and lithium page).

## How does desert heat affect RV batteries?

Heat shortens the life of lead-acid batteries and accelerates water loss in flooded cells. Batteries parked in a hot compartment through a Las Vegas summer often fail before their rated life, so a load test before a long trip is worth it.

## How much does it cost?

Final cost depends on the diagnosis, parts and labor. We quote before work starts and nothing proceeds without your approval.
- Trip fee: $75 within 30 miles

## FAQ

### Why do my RV lights flicker?

Common causes are a failing converter, a loose battery terminal or a ground issue. We test voltage under load to find which.

### Can you fix a burnt shore power cord or pedestal plug?

We replace damaged cord ends and inlets. If the pedestal itself is damaged, the RV park owns the repair, and we can document what we find.

### How do I know if I need a new converter?

If output voltage is low or unsteady, or the unit overheats and fails to charge the batteries, replacement is usually the answer. A multimeter test settles it.
